A recognized skill development certificate in gardening, landscaping, cleaning, housekeeping or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have good English speaking and listening skills and be able to follow workplace safety and hygiene procedures.
Gardeners & Cleaners are responsible for maintaining clean, hygienic and visually appealing indoor and outdoor areas. Duties may include landscaping, plant care, garden maintenance, sanitation and general cleaning based on employer requirements.
Plant, water, prune and maintain flowers, shrubs, lawns and landscaped garden areas.
Remove weeds, litter, fallen leaves and other debris from gardens, pathways and surrounding areas.
Monitor irrigation systems, fertilize plants and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
Sweep, mop and clean entrances, pathways, outdoor areas and assigned indoor spaces.
Clean outdoor furniture, benches, common areas and decorative elements as required.
Support housekeeping and facility teams with routine cleaning and maintenance activities.
Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment and potential safety hazards to the supervisor.
Follow workplace hygiene, safety, sanitation and waste disposal procedures.
